The Pelican 1060 Microcase is the perfect case as an EDC or even better yet, a humidor! It's a Pelican so you know it's tough enough to take whatever you throw at it. Lifetime warranty on all Pelican products makes this a no-brainer.
Double hinged with an easy-open latch keeps all of your electronics or precious cargo safe and dry.
Available is either a solid color or a color with a transparent lid which is great for being able to see what's in the case while it's still protected. If you're waiting on a phone call in austere environments, you'll be able to see the call when it comes in. No more opening the case to see if you missed it or just didn't get it yet.
The case liner, which also serves as the O-Ring is what provides the color to the cases with transparent lids. The case is actually all clear but won't seal without the liner. I like that because you don't have to worry about an actual O-Ring. The solid colors are just that. Cases come in Black, Blue, Yellow and Red which more of a burgandy rather than fire engine red.

I've been using the Pelican 1050 as a humidor but I'm personally going to start using the 1060 as it's a little bit longer and a little flatter. This gives you room for anything short of a Churchill and still gives you room for your torch and cutter.
Every Pelican case has a valve that allows the case to breath. Otherwise you'd run the risk of the case vacuum sealing itself making it almost impossible to open. As we all know, breathing humidors are not a good thing. The liner is actually removable. There's a small hole right where the valve is on the side of the case.
Remove the liner and turn in 180 degrees so that the hole is on the opposite side of the valve. This in effect, seals the case. Drop in your humidity pack of choice and your cigars. You are ready to travel with the safest, most dependable humidor protecting your fine cigars.
Your only decision is to decide on which color and if you want a transparent lid to show off your collection or go solid because it ain't no one's business what you have in your case. I've heard that if you turn the liner around to function as a humidor, K9 cannot smell what's in the case. Not sure why someone would need that but thought it was an interesting fact. NOTE: Be sure to turn your liner around to its' original position if you're going to fly. Don't want the case to vacu-seal causing a problem when you land.
All of the Pelican Microcases come with a carabiner so that you can attach a line, lanyard or remove it for a sleeker look.
If you need a custom insert for gear-specific needs, contact us and we'll get a quote out to you. As the liner is the seal, the custom foam insert will set inside the liner.
